Monday, 9-26-2016

This week has been fun and interesting. So we had a meeting Tuesday and then we had a lesson that was going well until the member we brought started talking about pot farms and if he was in another life he may smoke pot. To make it even worse the guy we were teaching his name is Dakota and his dad is a less active member. But his dad has been struggling with pot for a while now and he was doing super well until after that lesson. So that was fun... Then, I broke my toe Saturday and it's all swollen as well as burning my hand pretty bad but overall it's going super well and i had a super fun time at Big trees today!! The pics will come in a few. 

It's a new car.......Sept 19th

Yeah we work with the Newcums a lot we are actually supposed to be 25% active in their ward and 75% active in San Andreas. They are truly an awesome couple!! I'm glad you liked the photos! We did get a new car and it is super nice! It's a 2016 Nissan Rogue I will send pics later. It sounds like you guys have had a good week overall and i'm so happy to hear that! I have been doing pretty well just struggling with some anxiety but i'm in the process of fixing it. So hopefully I will be able to get past that. We were able to have a couple good lessons this week but overall it was slow. That's just how it is in the hills but i miss all of you so much!! I got kenzies letter and hopefully I will be able to reply tonight and send it out tomorrow. I hope all is well!! I love and miss you guys so much!!

I'm glad you made it through the week. and it sounds like you had fun. I'm sorry to hear that the procedure didn't work but hopefully Dr. Kaplan will be able to fix it. I have been doing pretty good. We have a lady named judy who is super close to actually being baptized and one of our other investigators scottie (he's the homeless one) He has been struggling with the word of wisdom. So we are trying to help him to understand because he sees the world in his way and I don't know if he will change but we are doing our best. We have a lot of potential here and i'm so excited for what is to come. I will make sure to keep all of you updated. Some big news for this week is the fact that we are getting a new car!!! We are switching out the truck we have and getting a 2016 Nissan Rogue. We are getting it on wednesday and it is super exciting! Besides that we are going to a wedding on friday and Elder Wood is gonna be the 2nd best man which is pretty cool. Let me know when you guys see Audrey next! Her and I were wondering if you would be okay with letting her stay with you guys when she goes to Georgia. Keep me updated on everything!

Monday, September 5, 2016................

Hey mom,

My week has been super good overall but a little stressful as well. I heard about the Hurricane and I am so happy to hear that everybody is safe! 

The fires are out. They ended up burning the back part of one of our less actives deck but not the house. We don't have any baptism dates but we have people committed to baptism so hopefully we will actually have baptisms coming up.

I haven't got your letter yet. I did get your amazon package and I want to thank you for that!!!! That was so nice of you and I loved it so much!! 

How is Tyler doing? I emailed him but he didn't reply yet. 

Let me know what happens with you and logan. 

i think i just resent the video but i'm not for sure. 

heres the story for the week

So this week we got a new record into our ward because someone moved into our ward. So it's our job to visit them and make sure they feel welcomed into the ward. So, we got the record and we headed to the address and we pull up and this lady comes out and says "It's not a good time right now." So we said sorry and apologized and then asked her name and turns out the lady actually wasn't a member and the records got sent her by mistake and the people that are supposed to live there don't. So,  we asked her if we could come back and she was super willing to let us come back and so hopefully she will be an investigator within the next week!!!! SO it just goes to show that god works miracles and it's just so awesome!!!

Monday, August 30, 2016........What a wild week........

Today Nick and I wrote back many, many times via email. I just love days like this but man I sure miss this boy so much!! Here is the adventures and I would say he has had some ADVENTURES........

So baseball bat guy

 So a couple weeks ago we were going to see a referral and we got to the house and it was set up like super weird so we walk through this gate by their mailbox and walk up to their door and knock but the yard looked kinda weird. So this guy comes from around the house with a baseball bat and starts cussing at us and going Ballistic and he ends up yelling and saying "Why are you in my backyard?!?!?!" So we found out that the door we knocked on was his back door and he just went super crazy about it. But he liked chased us out with the bat while yelling and cussing soooooo yeah...

Yesterday

So yesterday we got out from church and saw a huge pile of smoke and we heard there was a fire less than a mile from our house and it was super crazy. We had to pack up and we were almost evacuated. Luckily, the wind was moving opposite of our house which caused the fire to move away from us. The fire ended up burning 500 acres of land and one of our less actives house was almost burnt. It had a ring of fire around it that they were fighting off. However, in the end we were all okay and we ended up helping with the American Red Cross for most of the day after we packed up.
