I'm so sorry to hear about Logan but hopefully it will heal quickly! It is so awesome to hear that you were able to attend the temple with them. I really wished we had the opportunity to go to the temple here but sadly we don't.
Let me know how everything goes with the business.
Thanks mom, I had a mini anxiety attack but it all worked out and everybody said it was a super good talk.
I got the shaver yesterday, But i haven't really used it yet but Thank you so much for it!!
It's a thrift shop that we volunteer a couple days a week!
I don't know when zone conference will be but I will let you know when I know.
Here's my stories for the week!
So, 2 Sundays ago a member named brother Windle brought a homeless man to church named Scottie. Scottie is a very outspoken man and has a lot of integrity. We were able to talk to him and we have provided lessons for him. Our first meeting with him we committed him ti baptism. Scotties is very normal except for the fact that he has Bipolar. He has a wife and a kid back in Oregon. He was sent to California so that he could get his head right. Scottie is super awesome and absorbs all the info we throw at him! However, He has a smoking addiction and a little bit of a chastity problem which we are currently trying to help him with. We are hoping to have him baptized within the next few weeks.
Now, for the story of my talk. So yesterday I gave a talk on maintaining and growing testimonies. The talk had to be 15 minutes long and i was so nervous. My anxiety started to flare up and I thought that my talk wasn't good enough and I was just freaking out. Right before I was going to give my talk I said a prayer and asked for comfort. As soon as I got up to talk I just started getting super shaky and it was so hard to talk. However, as I went throughout my talk it became easier and easier and I know that my prayer had been answered. I was then able to bear my testimony and the spirit that was there was just incredible. Yesterday, I know I saw god's hand in my life and he truly blessed me. Following Sacrament I was then thanked close to 30 times for my talk and for my testimony. Multiple people came to me with tears in their eyes and thank me for sharing the experience with my dad and the testimony that came with it. I know that my prayer wasn't just answered but that god blessed me even more as I followed the spirit in my talk. I know that god answers prayers and that the Gospel is true. I love the plan that has been set here on Earth for us that allows us to learn and to experience joy and misery. I know that as we experience misery there is an equal and opposite reaction (The refiner's fire) I have felt that opposite reaction in my life as I have come closer to the gospel and have wanted to grow. I love this gospel and I love my mission!!!!!!!
Love,
Nicholas
